The Forum was organized for the PAG by Ms. Caryn Paredes-Santillan, in cooperation with the Association of Filipino Students in Japan, Mr. Jeffrey Cabanday and Ms. Lucia Cynita Rago. Ms. Joanne Dy-Yu served as the Rapporteur for the event and Ms. Bituin Shimada kindly volunteered to translate for the Immigration officers. The Forum was put together with the aim of educating Filipinos on the new immigration rules and regulations as well as their rights as migrants. It also serves to empower the community in assisting individuals facing problems relating to immigration, domestic violence, and human trafficking. |
